Description: Brooch, signed 'Miriam Haskell' on an oval plaque on the back. Fabulous brooch by Haskell designed Robert F. Clark during the years 1958-1968. This piece exhibits the large glass stones and solder work that distinguishes Clark pieces from earlier Hess designs. Two large silver tone leafy filigree plaques are wired together and set with large black glass faceted oval stones in the middle, the smaller on top, larger on the bottom. Two rows of clear rhinestones surround each black oval. Hanging from the bottom are three chains of dangling black glass beads, each linked separately onto the chain.
