Description: Brooch, signed 'Coro Sterling Duette', 'Pat No 1798867' on the duette frame and 'Serling' on each fur clip. Patented in 1942 as a 'separable brooch' this pair of gold plated sterling bee fur clips are joined to form the brooch. See lower left for back view. The bees are enameled with black legs and head, yellow and grays on their bodies and wings and set with clear rhinestones. Can be worn as sown as a brooch or the clips can be removed from the pin frame and worn as two separate fur clips.
