Description: Early 1940's rhodium plated rhinestone and enamel love birds duet, this set is actually two individual bird brooches joined on a pin mechanism so they can be worn together, also as a brooch. The design and enameling is almost identical to Coro's love birds, though this duet is brooches, not clips, and is unsigned. The tail and head feathers are enameled in black, blue, green and a touch of yellow, the flowers are pastel yellow, pink and blue. The bodies are pavé set with clear rhinestone, there's a clear rhinestone in each flower's center and each bird has a red rhinestone eye.
Size: 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" joined, 2 1/2 x 1 1/2" each bird
Condition: Very good, just light green gunk underneath the pin mechanism, enamel is excellent
