Brass drops dangle from an ornate brass link chain, each drop decorated with swirled jade green glass cabochons, dark (almost black) amethyst rhinestones and simulated seed pearls. A total of five drops are suspended from the chain, the middle drop the largest. The chain itself consists of oval links set with oval green glass cabochons alternating between drops with rectangular links set with square amethyst faceted glass stones flanked by pairs of white seed pearls. The rest of the chain is completed with more rectangular links.
Purple (dignity), white (purity) and green (hope) were the official colors of the WSPU in Britain after 1908 and are associated with Suffragette era jewelry, c. 1910-1920 or so.
