Description: This is a fascinating and rare piece of 1930's jewelry history. This is a compact, with loose powder make-up and mirror on the inside, the outside lid is enameled in pea green. The compact is a surprise, it's equipped with a clip on the back, turning into a dress clip. Compact opens from the back, the clip is attached to the bottom of the compact. A bright gold powder puff is still inside. Shown in "Costume Jewelry Variations" by Marion Cohen, page 31.
Size: 1 5/8" dia.
Condition: Very good outside, the silvering on the mirror inside is mostly gone, as is all the make-up.
