Description: Antique Chinese Export gilded silver and genuine carved jadeite brooch; an incredibly rare and unique design from the early part to the 20th century. The unusually large and detailed brooch depicts the heads of a Chinese man and a horse; to the right done in repoussé gilded silver metal. A mirror image of the head and horse is on the left, done in a large piece of prong set carved jadeite. In between the two is a monkey at the top. Tests positive for jadeite. Marked 'China Silver' on the back.
