Description: Vintage 1970's Brutalist brass mezuzah case made by artist Carvalhu of Rio. Known for his work in metal and crystal, this mezuzah case is brass and copper with two large genuine raw amethyst stones; one at the bottom and one on the side at the top of the copper eternal light element. A brass Hebrew letter Shin, for Shaddai, is at the top. The back is hollow with prongs to hold a klaf, or parchment scroll, that goes inside the case. Holes at top and bottom to affix to a doorpost.
