Description: Georgian era heavy silver buckle, c.1780, converted to a brooch at some point in the Victorian era, set with hand cut black dot pastes, both cushion cut and round shapes. The stones are large, roughly 10-12mm. The original buckle is deeply curved and was once part of a pair.
Of 20 stones only 2 have chips visible to eye and those do not detract. All others have either no damage or very tiny flea bites or scratches visible only with a loupe. No foil damage.
Size: 2 1/4" x 1 7/8"
Condition: Very good
